Chaga Mushroom, Tincture
Chaga is a complex source of nutrition and is linked to many health benefits, and can be consumed in a delicious tea or added to soups, sauces, stews, or smoothies.
NOTE: Consult a health care professional before using if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, using blood thinning medication or herbal products, or are allergic to Birch trees.
Also known as “Inonotus obliquus,” chaga is a type of fungus which grows on living birch trees.
Renown for its high levels of antioxidants, beta glucans, phytonutrients, polysccharides, minerals and vitamins, the mushroom is a healthy addition to your diet.
We harvest chaga in the winter, being careful to not harm the birch tree in the process, then dry it for use in teas and tinctures.
Chaga is known to absorb a unique and beneficial compound from its birch tree host, called betulinic acid. A triterpenoid, betulinic acid is believed to have potent anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. Its melanin content can also enhance the health of your skin.
